Savant Introduces ROSIE Touch TV

September, 2008– Savant Systems LLC, having led the convergence of an open architecture platform to integrate automation and control, A/V switching, and general purpose computers, has announced the introduction of ROSIE Touch TV, full color HD LCD touch panels combining TV viewing with touch capabilities available in 24 and 40–inch models ideal for kitchens, bedrooms, game rooms and yachts.

ROSIE Touch TV is the ideal multipurpose solution for viewing HD video content while simultaneously functioning as a large display control interface. A tap of the screen accesses all of the automation services and subsystems native to Savant's suite of ROSIE touch panels, plus new and exciting interactive multimedia capabilities as well. Users can control multi–zone audio, video, lighting, HVAC, IP cameras, security systems and more. ROSIE Touch TV can also be used to interact with iTunes® multimedia content as well as future applications for home control and entertainment.

The potential applications for ROSIE Touch TV are vast–every audio and video service and subsystem control element of the home, classroom, corporate training room, and/or business boardroom can be accessed with this innovative and intuitive touch interface.

ROSIE OSD (On–Screen Display) is the innovative technology behind ROSIE Touch TV, providing a visually engaging and intuitive way to navigate, browse, and select diverse automation and control subsystems and multimedia content by boldly presenting them on ROSIE HD displays. ROSIE OSD is powered by Savant's innovative video mixing and overlay technology, combining and supporting HD and semi–transparent graphics up to 1080p, overlaid onto live video content.

Savant provides a palette of themes and motifs to create and customize spectacular interactive control icons, visible in stunning HD clarity. All of these icons can be modified (modifications should be made via Savant's authorized dealer network) by using Adobe® Photoshop®, the world's premier digital graphics editing application.
