Savant Introduces the ROSIE Systems 12 & 24

September, 2008– Savant Systems LLC, having led the convergence of an open architecture platform to integrate automation and control, A/V switching, and general purpose computers, has announced the introduction of the ROSIE Systems 12 & 24, integrating control technology, audio and video switching, audio processing, integrated touch panel user interface, internal iTunes® Digital Media Server, and built–in ROSIE Mobile Device Server, all packaged in a unique and elegant rack–mountable solution. The ROSIE System 12 contains 12 card slots (for audio processing and/or audio/video switching modules) and 25 onboard control ports, while the System 24 has 24 card slots 50 control ports.

Supporting 12 or 24 card slots, either model boasts the innate flexibility to be field–upgraded by adding audio processing modules or audio and video input and output modules based on the needs and complexity of each individual installation. Additionally, the capabilities of either the System 12 or System 24 can be further expanded by interconnecting additional platforms from the ROSIE product lineup. The ROSIE System 12 has been honored with a 2008 Product of the Year Award from Electronic House Magazine.

ROSIE Systems 12 & 24 have been engineered to deliver world class audio processing capabilities, an integrated ROSIE Mobile Device Server, and a built–in iTunes® Digital Media Server providing instant access to entire music collections from various ROSIE user interfaces–eliminating the need for a clutter of single–function, standalone solutions. ROSIE Systems 12 & 24 are also ideal for installations requiring high definition (HD) video switching and high capacity audio switching. Based on the modular design, up to 9 x 9 HD video switching, and 24 x 24 audio switching, or 48 x 48 audio only switching is supported per ROSIE System 12. By upgrading to a ROSIE System 24, the capacity increases to a 16 x 18 HD video switch and a 48 x 48 audio switch, or a 96 x 96 audio-only switch.

ROSIE Systems 12 & 24 include an integrated ROSIE Mobile Device Server, with four product licenses enabling mobile devices including the revolutionary Apple® iPhone™ and iPod touch™. ROSIE compatible mobile devices simply connect with zero configuration and operate through your home's wireless network and communicate through the local area network (LAN) to the integrated mobile device server, delivering convenient home control functionality right from the palm of your hand.

ROSIE Systems 12 & 24 are available now through authorized Savant dealers with an MSRP starting at $14,000 and $26,000 (USD) for base configurations respectively.
